@yourmusiceducationReplying to @rachy0323 There’s pretty much something for everyone in the list of number ones songs from the from 1991. A total of 27 songs topped the chart that year and in November Billboard began using Soundscan data which provided better sales and airplay numbers. But while the list was dance-heavy, it was not dominated by dance music. CCM Artist Amy Grant had a crossover hit with Baby Baby, which caused a bit of an outcry in the Christian music world. The longest running #1 that year was Bryan Adams’s rock ballad “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” from the “Robin Hood Prince of Thieves” soundtrack. Michael Jackson’s “Black or White” also began a seven-week run during the final four weeks of 1991. #musichistory #learnontiktok #music #oldschool #yourmusiceducation #nostalgia #throwback #genx #90smusic #1991 #madonna #janetjackson #surface #candcmusicfactory #whitneyhouston #mariahcarey #timmyt #gloriaestefan #londonbeat #wilsonphillips #amygrant #roxette #hifive #extreme #paulaabdul #emf #bryanadams #colormebadd #markymark #karynwhite #prince #michaelbolton #pmdawn #michaeljackson #justifymylove #firsttime #everybodydancenow #gonnamakeyousweat #allthemanthatineed #someday #onemoretry #comingout #ivebeenthinkingaboutyou #babybaby #joyride #iliketheway #idontwannacry #morethanwords #rushrush #unbelievable #everythingidoidoitforyou #miamor #goodvibes #emotions #romantic #whenamanlovesawoman #setadriftonmemorybliss #blackorwhite
