@yourmusiceducationReplying to @stupidcushion Not only was it a 366-day leap year, but many of us were stuck at home most of 2020. Music videos reflected this as well with some songs having only lyric videos and others dedicated to the memory of touching. Some of the expected stars held the #1 position throughout the year (Drake, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Post Malone, Beyoncé, and Mariah Carey), as well as newcomers such as Megan Thee Stallion, BTS, Roddy Ricch, Kid Kudi, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, and Harry Styles. Evidently staying home caused more people to listen to more music. For the first time in 30 years, 6 songs topped the chart in a six-week period, and 20 songs reached number one that year with an additional two (Circles and All I Want for Christmas Is You) returning to the position. This was the largest number of #1s since 1991. #musichistory #learnontiktok #music #oldschool #yourmusiceducation #nostalgia #throwback #2020 #2020smusic #mariahcarey #postmalone #roddyricch #theweeknd #drake #travisscott #kidcudi #dojacat #nickiminaj #arianagrande #justinbieber #megantheestallion #beyonce #ladygaga #dababy #6ix9ine #taylorswift #harrystyles #cardib #bts #youngthug #mia #jawsh685 #jasonderulo #24kgoldn #iandior #alliwantforchristmas #alliwantforchristmasisyou #circles #thebox #blindinglights #toosieslide #thescotts #sayso #stuckwithu #savage #rainonme #rockstar #cardigan #watermelonsugar #dynamite #wap #franchise #savagelove #mood #positions #lifegoeson #willow
