@yourmusiceducationWhich year was your favorite? The shift in the US pop music landscape from 2010 to 2019 was tremendous. The world went through a recession in 2008 and a pandemic from 2020 through 2022 (2023???). But pop music just kept popping. The shift from mostly CDs to mostly streaming (as well as Billboard’s shifting tabulation standards to keep up) also meant that decades-old songs could resurface on the Hot 100 (allowing Mariah Carey’s 1994 Christmas classic to make its first appearance at #1 in 2019). The decade started with Ke$ha’s Tik Tok and ended up with hits that were made famous on the app TikTok (as well as Billy Ray Cyrus’s first #1). As we watch this video, we all relive some of our worst regrets and sone of our greatest victories. #musichistory #learnontiktok #music #oldschool #yourmusiceducation #nostalgia #throwback #2010smusic #2010 #2011 #2012 #2013 #2014 #2015 #2016 #2017 #2018 #2019 #10mintiktok #rihanna #kesha #katyperry #eninem #brunomars #snoopdogg #adele #ladygaga #lmfao #laurenbennett #goonrock #kanyewest #carlyraejepsen #maroon5 #gotye #kimbra #fun #janellemonae #robinthicke #pharrellwilliams #macklemore #lorde #taylorswift #meghantrainor #iggyazalea #charlixcx #markronson #wizkhalifa #charlieputh #theweeknd #drake #thechainsmokers #wizkid #kyla #justinbieber #luisfonsi #daddyyankee #edsheeran #postmalone #21savage #cardib #beyonce #arianagrande #lilnasx #billyraycyrus #lizzo #lewiscapaldi #mariahcarey #camilacabello #selenagomez #shawnmendes #tiktok #rollinginthedeep #somebodythatiusedtoknow #thriftshop #happy #uptownfunk #loveyourself #shapeofyou #godsplan #oldtownroad
